NSU President slams Razak Braimah’s selection for AFCON 2015

Goalkeeper Razak BrimahNationwide Supporters Union (NSU) President, Aziz Haruna Futah has criticized Black Stars Coach Avram Grant’s decision to include Razak Braimah’s in his 26-man preliminary squad, stating that the Mirandes’ goalkeeper lacks certain qualities of modern day of a shot-stopper.

The Spain based goalkeeper, who was selected ahead of Aduana Stars glovesman Stephen Adams, joined Ernest Sowah and Fatawu Dauda in the squad that will hold a 10-day training camp in Seville, Spain.

“I was shocked at Razak Braimah inclusion in the 26-man squad. He cannot even kick the ball,” Mr. Haruna Futah told Accra-based radio station Asempa 94.7FM.

“If you watched our game in Tamale against Togo, he couldn’t even kick, and it is dangerous because modern day goalkeepers act as a libero,” he added.
