Ghana striker David Accam has revealed Asamoah Gyan is having a huge influence on his career.
The Chicago Fire new signing says Gyan plays the role of senior brother and mentor when they gather for international assignments.
Accam, 23, said in an interview with TV3: “For me Asamoah Gyan is the best player in Ghana. He is a legend and every time we train I learn a lot from him, and he always talk to me,” Accam told TV3.
“Am really happy to be playing with him. He always tells me I need to calm down and be composed in front of goal.
“You need people like this in the team because even if they are not playing their influence on the team is great.”
Accam has been named as one of the five strikers selected by Ghana coach Avram Grant in his provisional 31-man squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
